General Information:
Age Requirement: 13 & up!
*Live Scan required for adult volunteers 18+
ICDT!'s volunteer positions are a great way to see what it's like to be a teaching artist! Volunteers get inside experience working with teachers, helping with planning and executing curriculum, and are a valued part of the ICDT! team! It's a great resume builder and also a ton of fun!
Volunteer's hours will be tracked and can be reported as community service and internship hours. The ICDT! Directors will be more than happy to write letters of recommendation.
Assisting with a Class:
REQUIREMENTS:

At least 13 years old

Comfortable with acting, singing, and dancing (you will be expected to learn the material along with the kids and to participate/demonstrate in class)

An interview will be required
DUTIES:
-
Help students stay on track and redirect their attention in class
-
Participate in class activities and assist the teachers as needed
-
Accompany students to & from restroom when needed
-
Help supervise students during break time
-
Clean up the studio before & after student arrival/departure
Assisting with a Production:
REQUIREMENTS:

At least 13 years old (for a KIDS show)
-
At least 15 years old (for a JR show)

Comfortable with acting, singing, and dancing (you will be expected to learn the material along with the kids and to participate/demonstrate in class)

Must be available for all tech and performance dates (more info on application or use link below)

DUTIES:

Participate in class activities and assist the teachers as needed

In rehearsals, help small groups with choreography, running lines, vocal harmonies (and more!)

During tech & performances, assistants will be a part of the backstage crew, the duties of which will include helping move set pieces, changing costumes, taking microphones on & off, keeping kids quiet, etc.
