Acting Fundamentals

Ages 8 - 11

About the Class

Step into the spotlight! This beginner-friendly class expands on things learned in “Theatre Games” by introducing students to the basics of acting through fun games, scene work, and imaginative exercises. Students will learn how to use their voices, bodies, and emotions to create believable characters and tell powerful stories. Whether you're new to acting or building your skills, this class will help you grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration—all while having fun on stage!

Advanced Acting

Ages 12 - 18

Level 3

Prerequisite: Acting Fundamentals (Level 2) or equivalent prior acting experience.

About the Class

This Advanced Acting course is designed for experienced students eager to deepen their craft through intensive in-class character exploration and scene work. The class focuses on developing emotional depth, nuanced storytelling, and dynamic character relationships while refining skills in physicality, subtext, and improvisation. Students will engage in collaborative exercises that challenge them to make bold creative choices, explore complex character arcs, and respond authentically to their scene partners. With an emphasis on process over performance, the course culminates in a showcase of scenes and/or monologues that reflect each student's growth, artistry, and commitment to their craft.

Beyond Broadway Dance

Ages 8-11

Prerequisite: Broadway Dance (Level 1) or equivalent prior dance experience.

Take your training to the next level in this advanced class for students ready to push past the basics. Designed for dancers with prior experience, this class dives deeper into complex choreography, refined technique, and dynamic performance. You'll explore advanced styles across jazz, tap, ballet, and musical theatre while learning how to bring character and story to life through dance. With a focus on stamina, musicality, and expressive movement, this class challenges students to grow as both dancers and performers in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Beyond Broadway Voice

Ages 12-18

Prerequisite: Broadway Voice (Level 1) or equivalent prior vocal experience.

About the Class

For students ready to grow beyond the basics, this advanced class focuses on stronger vocal technique, breath control, and singing in harmony. Students will continue harmonies and ensemble work while also taking on solos, duets, and trios. Musical numbers will be drawn from shows like Wicked, Hamilton, and Mean Girls, helping students build stage presence, confidence, and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment.

About the Class

Come dance along with your fellow ICDT! peers in our beginner dance class! Learn basic dance terminology and skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Each week you will learn new choreography, work on the foundations of dance, and get to experience the joy of storytelling through movement. Broadway dance covers a variety of styles from jazz to tap, ballet to musical theatre, and more!

About the Class

Come learn the importance of an ensemble as we work together on musical numbers from popular shows like High School Musical, Grease, Hairspray, and more! With a focus on singing, this class will grow your vocal confidence through working on large group musical numbers. You will also learn movement to songs, and have opportunities for solos, duets, and trios!

About the Class

Come be a part of ICDT!’s Showcases! Not only will this class give students the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge and understanding of theatre, blocking, and choreography, but it will allow for growth musically as we learn about the basics of sheet music and working with an accompanist. This class will cater to all levels of experience, and is the perfect opportunity for students who want to continue growing in their craft, as well as those who want to try it out for the first time!

Improv Fundamentals

Ages 8 - 13

About the Class

This is an energetic class that teaches acting through improv! Improvisation is spontaneous performance without specific or scripted preparation and will strengthen your skills of thinking on your feet and allow you to respond to new ideas and themes with joy and curiosity.

Improv Theatre Games

Ages 6 to 9

About the Class

This class is a great introduction to acting! You will be encouraged to use your imagination, work as a team, and build confidence all while learning and playing theatre games together. Come have fun while strengthening your drama and comedy skills through storytelling!

Jazz Dance

Ages 12 - 18

About the Class

Designed for students who have completed “Beyond Broadway Dance” or its equivalent, this class is an advanced class for ages 12–18 that sharpens technique and elevates performance. Dancers will explore a variety of jazz styles (from Fosse to contemporary), tackle complex choreography, and develop the precision, stamina, and stage presence. This class is fast-paced, expressive, and performance-driven.

About the Class

Ready to level up? “More Music and Movement” is designed for students who have taken our introductory class and are excited for more, more, more! This class continues to explore the world of music, theatre, and the arts through more complex rhythms and musical storytelling. Students will build confidence as they explore character through movement, learn basic dance moves, and strengthen their musical ear. With continued practice, your young artist will grow in body, voice, and imagination!

Families, drop off your young movers and shakers! This class is the perfect introduction to all things music, theatre, and the arts. In this class we'll discover ways our bodies can move in response to the music. Exciting musical games, rhythm work, and storytelling will be featured to help your kiddos develop creativity, listening skills, coordination, and more! We'll explore stretching, yoga, focused breathing, and musicals too!

Playwriting

Ages 10 - 14

Unlock the magic of storytelling in our class designed specifically for budding playwrights. In this interactive and imaginative journey, young writers will embark on an adventure through the world of theatre, learning the essential tools and techniques to craft an original play. From brainstorming ideas to bringing characters to life, this course empowers students to express their creativity and imagination through the art of playwriting.

Tiny Taps

Ages 4 - 5

About the Class

Families, drop off your Tiny Tappers for an exciting, fun time! This class is the perfect introduction to tap dance while concentrating on the development of coordination, balance and the teachings of the basic tap skills suitable for young performers. Although structured, our Tiny Tappers will enjoy the gratification associated with learning rhythmic patterns with their peers.

TRIAL CLASSES:
Trial classes may be available upon request. Please contact us to book a trial class!

*Initial tuition payment or application for tuition assistance is required within 24 hours of enrollment. If your card is declined, you must reach out to us within 48 hours with an updated method of payment. If no payment is made, we will give the spot to the next person on the waitlist.*


CANCELLATION POLICY (effective until July 31st, 2025)
* A refund will be given up to 10 ICDT! Business Days prior to the Session start date with a $10 processing fee deducted from the tuition total. Converting tuition to full class credit will also be offered. Once a class session has started, ICDT! will not offer refunds, credits, or makeup classes for missed or dropped classes. Refunds will not be given due to casting decisions. If a class needs to be canceled, all families will be notified through email. However, if you opt out of group emails, you will not receive this notification.

 
*If you have extenuating circumstances that require a cancellation within the 10 day window, or once a class is in session, please contact info@ICanDoThatPAC.org as you may be eligible for a partial class credit.
