Ready to dive deeper into acting?! Our acting classes are great for beginners or if you have already been on stage and want to dig deeper into character building and scenework! Learn new acting exercises and techniques while working on scenes with your peers.

Broadway Voice (and Movement)
Ages 6 - 8 & 9 - 11

About the Class
Come learn the importance of an ensemble as we work together on musical numbers from popular shows like High School Musical, Grease, Hairspray, and more! With a focus on singing, this class will grow your vocal confidence through working on large group musical numbers. You will also learn movement to songs, and have opportunities for solos, duets, and trios!

Improv!

About the Class
This is an energetic class that teaches acting through improv! Improvisation is spontaneous performance without specific or scripted preparation and will strengthen your skills of thinking on your feet and allow you to respond to new ideas and themes with joy and curiousity.

*Children must be potty trained to attend* Families, drop off your young movers and shakers! This class is the perfect introduction to all things music, theatre, and the arts. In this class we'll discover ways our bodies can move in response to the music. Exciting musical games, rhythm work, and storytelling will be featured to help your kiddos develop creativity, listening skills, coordination, and more! We'll explore stretching, yoga, focused breathing, and musicals too!

About the Class
If you are looking to grow your dance confidence and improve your understanding of movement, this class is for you! Each week you will learn new choreography and get to experience the joy of storytelling through movement. The central focus will be on the foundations of ballet and jazz but also include tap and contemporary aspects of dance. We will explore spatial relationships on stage, discuss discipline and how to achieve set goals, and even dip into how to create your own choreography!

Spring Play: A Midsummer Night's Dream

About the Class
This spring we are producing our first play at ICDT! Sign up to be a part of Shakespeare’s classic, A Midsummer Night's Dream! Participating in the play will strengthen your confidence and put your acting skills to work! The audition process will take place within class time and the play will be cast, staged, rehearsed, and performed at the Center in May!
Final Performance: Saturday, May 20th at 1pm (Tuesday class) & 4pm (Wednesday class)
