About the Class

Ready to dive deeper into acting?! Our acting classes are great for beginners or if you have already been on stage and want to dig deeper into character building and scenework! Learn new acting exercises and techniques while working on scenes with your peers.

Broadway Dance

Ages 8 - 9, 10 - 14 & 14 - 18

About the Class

Come dance along with your fellow ICDT! peers in our beginner/intermediate dance class! Learn basic dance terminology and skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Each week you will learn new choreography, work on the foundations of dance, and get to experience the joy of storytelling through movement. Broadway dance covers a variety of styles from jazz to tap, ballet to musical theatre, and more!

About the Class

Come learn the importance of an ensemble as we work together on musical numbers from popular shows like High School Musical, Grease, Hairspray, and more! With a focus on singing, this class will grow your vocal confidence through working on large group musical numbers. You will also learn movement to songs, and have opportunities for solos, duets, and trios!

About the Class

Young performers and their special grown-ups are all welcomed to partake in this fun filled class! Our “Grown-Up & Me” class is an excellent introduction to organized movement, incorporating creative development and promoting body awareness and coordination. Through the use of props, games and songs, your young performers will be encouraged to explore their creativity all in the comfort of having you in classroom with them.

Gymnastics & Me

About the Class

Ready to start your child’s journey to become fit for life? This class combines the strength and coordination of the athlete with the elegance of dancing. They will learn yoga poses, dance steps, tumbling such as forward/backward rolls, headstands, cart wheels & more! They will play games to develop coordination with the ball, hoop and rope. We meet every child at their level. At the end of a semester, your child will become stronger in their core improving flexibility, muscle tone, coordination & balance. Whether your child finds their passion to continue gymnastics in the competitive route or enjoy as a hobby, we can’t wait to be a part of it!

*Caregivers to attend the 3.5-4 year old classes - encouraged to watch only with as needed/minimal participation; and welcome to attend 5-6 year old classes*

Improv!

About the Class

This is an energetic class that teaches acting through improv! Improvisation is spontaneous performance without specific or scripted preparation and will strengthen your skills of thinking on your feet and allow you to respond to new ideas and themes with joy and curiousity.

About the Class

Families, drop off your young movers and shakers! This class is the perfect introduction to all things music, theatre, and the arts. In this class we'll discover ways our bodies can move in response to the music. Exciting musical games, rhythm work, and storytelling will be featured to help your kiddos develop creativity, listening skills, coordination, and more! We'll explore stretching, yoga, focused breathing, and musicals too!

In this class we will cover the basics of music theory, ear training, sheet music, stylistic techniques, and more! About the Class

This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the exciting world of technical theatre! Join Courtney and gain an understanding of the various departments within a theatrical production, such as sound, lighting, and set. In class, you will get to participate in the preparation for our ICDT! Productions like making props, set dressing, and finding music. Courtney will also offer backstage tech crew opportunities for hands-on experience outside of class! This class is not only great for beginners, but those who want to delve deeper into the world of technical theatre as well.

Tiny Stars

About the Class

Families, drop off your Tiny Stars for an exciting, fun time! This class is the perfect introduction to class etiquette, confidence building and basic techniques of all things music, theatre, and the arts. Our Tiny Stars class will also explore musical theatre games and the art of storytelling through dance. Each Tiny Star will leave the class with increased creative expression, stronger listening skills and a knowledge of collaboration skills with their peers.

Tiny Taps

About the Class

Families, drop off your Tiny Tappers for an exciting, fun time! This class is the perfect introduction to tap dance while concentrating on the development of coordination, balance and the teachings of the basic tap skills suitable for young performers. Although structured, our Tiny Tappers will enjoy the gratification associated with learning rhythmic patterns with their peers.

Winter Showcase

Ages 11 - 18

About the Class

Come be a part of ICDT!’s first Winter Showcase which will perform at the Village Theatre on Dec 7th! This is a fun and inclusive performance based class that fosters an environment of collaboration and creativity to create a fully original musical revue, culminating in our first ever show with live accompaniment performed at the Village Theatre! Not only will this class give students the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge and understanding of theatre, blocking, and choreography, but it will allow for growth musically as we learn about the basics of sheet music and working with an accompanist. This class will cater to all levels of experience, and is the perfect opportunity for students who want to continue growing in their craft, as well as those who want to try it out for the first time!
