Acting Fundamentals (Level 2)

About the Class
Step into the spotlight! This beginner-friendly class expands on things learned in “Theatre Games” by introducing students to the basics of acting through fun games, scene work, and imaginative exercises. Students will learn how to use their voices, bodies, and emotions to create believable characters and tell powerful stories. Whether you're new to acting or building your skills, this class will help you grow in confidence, creativity, and collaboration—all while having fun on stage!

About the Class
This class introduces young dancers to the foundations of tap. Students will practice rhythm, timing, and musicality while learning beginner tap steps. They’ll also work on balance and coordination, building skills that support both dance and overall development—all while having fun with their classmates.

Come dance along with your fellow ICDT! peers in our beginner dance class! Learn basic dance terminology and skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Each week you will learn new choreography, work on the foundations of dance, and get to experience the joy of storytelling through movement. Broadway dance covers a variety of styles from jazz to tap, ballet to musical theatre, and more!

Musical numbers will be drawn from shows like Wicked, Hamilton, and Mean Girls, helping students build stage presence, confidence, and performance skills in a fun, supportive environment.

Students will explore different musical styles, deepen their character work, and gain the confidence needed for high-level auditions and performances.

Not only will this class give students the opportunity to learn and grow in their knowledge and understanding of theatre, blocking, and choreography, but it will allow for growth musically as we learn about the basics of sheet music and working with an accompanist. This class will cater to all levels of experience, and is the perfect opportunity for students who want to continue growing in their craft, as well as those who want to try it out for the first time!

About the Class
Families, drop off your Tiny Tappers for an exciting, fun time! This class is the perfect introduction to tap dance while concentrating on the development of coordination, balance and the teachings of the basic tap skills suitable for young performers. Although structured, our Tiny Tappers will enjoy the gratification associated with learning rhythmic patterns with their peers.
